Plate
The plate is complete; there are some small chips around the rim and a good portion of the glaze on the reverse has disappeared. It is circular in shape with a plain rim. On the front, the marli is narrow and inclined towards the bottom, and the low wall curves towards the flat bottom. On the reverse, the plate is frustoconical in cross-section, with a small, slightly concave central base. The reverse glaze is pitted with small holes. The body is beige, and the object is covered with a white enamel. There are three traces of a pernette in a triangular pattern on the reverse. The enamel on the front is shiny. The enamel around the rim has partially disappeared. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome of cobalt blue underglaze and red, yellow and green overglaze. It is of an animal type with a bird. The decoration is on the marli and on the background. The design on the border is a wide braid edged with a line and a double line painted red; it is made of a latticework with a yellow background, traced in red and trimmed with a group of three pearls painted blue. The background is decorated with a central medallion featuring a triple ring, with trifoliate motifs around the perimeter, all painted blue. The central motif is a ring traced in red and painted yellow, at the top of which stands a long-tailed bird, probably a parrot, traced in red and painted in red, blue and green. The lower part of the ring is adorned with poly-lobed masses traced in red and painted blue, from which emerge leafy stems traced in red and painted blue and red.
