Plate
The plate is complete; some enamel is missing around the rim and some breaks have been repaired with iron studs. The plate is circular, with a plain rim. In cross-section, the rim is in line with the marli, which is high, slightly concave and sloping towards the bottom; the wall is low and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the plate has a truncated cone cross-section with a slightly concave base; the circumference of the base is angular. Turning rings are visible on the reverse. The body is pinkish-beige in color and covered with a bluish-white glaze; the glaze is missing under the bottom, and there is a burr near the rim. Three traces of linear and triangular pernettes are visible under the marli. The plate has some breaks, which are repaired with eight rusty iron spikes; made from a double iron rod, their ends are inserted into as many pairs of small circular holes drilled in the plate and held in place by a hard white paste. Only one hole is visible on the face of the plate. There are flaws in the glaze on both the front and reverse. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome. It has been traced and painted in blue underglaze, and in orange-red and green overglaze. It features compartmentalized braid and a plant motif. The decoration is painted on the border, near the edge, and in the center of the background. The border is decorated with a ring-shaped braid. It is outlined and painted in blue and orange-red. The braid is decorated with two alternately repeated motifs. The main motif is a latticework drawn in red and trimmed with blue-painted pearls. The other motif is a half-flower in blue, set in two vertical arched bands in blue. The background features a terrace of superimposed blue lines, on which rest three green-painted pearls, at the foot of two long, straight stems in blue and orange; they are trimmed with leaves in blue and green, as well as two mirrored flowers in orange. In the background is an undulating mass traced and painted in blue, bordered by green-painted pearls, and on each end of which rise small buildings, two of them with double-sloped roofs traced in green on posts traced in blue and orange; behind them rises a windowed tower with a green-painted sloped roof. Each is bordered by trees, one in blue, the other in green and orange.
