Plate
The plate is circular in shape, with an evenly spaced rim. It is complete; there are small glaze chips around the rim. The rim is thin. The rim slopes slightly inwards, the wall is curved and the bottom is flat. On the reverse, the plate rests on a glaze-free milled foot; the bottom is recessed and flat. The inner base of the plate is stained; the decoration is hand-painted in pink, blue, green, orange, black and white polychrome enamel over glaze, with gold highlights, in the Famille rose style. The pattern is floral. The decoration is visible on the marli and on the background. The decoration on the marli consists of three similar groups of flowers arranged in a triangle. The main flower is outlined in black and painted pink, while the others are painted pink and white, outlined in red with gilding and outlined in red and painted orange. They are bordered by leaves outlined in black and painted green. The background decoration is surrounded by a ring of red-painted double fillet bordering a row of gilded spearheads. The background features two small grassy terraces, outlined in black on a green background. They support stems outlined in black and painted green, topped with orange-painted leaves outlined in black and painted green. The flowers are similar to those painted on the border, in pink, white and orange with gilding.
