Plate
The plate is complete; broken, and has been repaired with glue and white material. The plate is circular with a plain rim. The rim slopes slightly inwards, the wall is socked and the bottom is flat and recessed. The plate rests on a small milled foot, located in line with the outer wall and free of glaze. The decoration is hand-painted over glaze in polychrome pink, green, turquoise, blue and dark brown, in the Famille rose style, with touches of gilding. It is of the flower basket type. The painted decoration is visible on the inner border and background, as well as on the reverse of the inner border. The decoration on the inner band consists of two different elements. The braid near the edge is painted brown and accented with traced spirals in gold. The marli is covered with four groups of plant elements painted in white and in relief. The background decoration is encircled by a braid identical to that of the border. It features a metal basket with flowers. The basket has a very swollen body, a narrow neck and a flat rim; it is traced in brown and painted brown with added gilding. The belly is adorned with three reserved disks housing green-painted vegetal and pink-painted floral elements; the neck is decorated with a row of turquoise-painted rings. The basket rests on a blue-painted tripod. The basket has a high, vertical handle, drawn in black and slightly inclined, which is adorned at the top with a knotted ribbon drawn and painted in gold. Emerging from the basket are leafy stems traced in black and painted green, which are garnished with flowers traced and painted in pink in relief. On the reverse side of the border, three floral elements in red are arranged in a triangle.
