Plate
The plate is complete; there is one crack. The plate is circular with a plain rim. The rim slopes slightly inwards, the wall is low and the base is flat and recessed. The plate rests on a small milled foot, which is free of glaze. There are flaws and wear on the inner base ; The decoration is hand-painted in underglaze blue. It is floral in style. The painted decoration is visible on the inner rim and inner base. The frieze consists of a narrow braid underlined by a ring and decorated with a latticework of alternating X’s and rhombuses. It is interrupted at regular intervals by a plant group painted in dark blue, with fan-shaped leaves and a heart topped by trident-shaped leaves. The central decoration is encircled by a double ring. It consists of a bouquet of flowers and three groups of more or less elaborate leafy stems and flowers, forming a circle. The rim of the plate is covered with an iron-brown coating.
