Plate
The plate is complete; some breaks have been repaired with glue and plaster. It is circular with a plain rim. On the front, the marli slopes slightly inwards, and the wall slopes towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the plate rests on a milled foot, the base of which is unglazed; the bottom is recessed and flat. The body is beige, and the object is covered with a bluish-white enamel. There are three traces of a pernette in a triangular pattern on the reverse. The enamel is shiny. The enamel around the rim has disappeared ; The decoration is hand-painted in cobalt blue, underglaze. It is of the Chinese lake scene type. The decoration is found on both the rim and the base. The decoration on the marli is composed of a narrow braid trimmed with a double lattice; it is underlined by a fillet. The background decoration is surrounded by a double ring; it features a lake scene composed of two islands separated by a body of water. The island in the foreground features two buildings, rocks, trees and mountains, while the island in the background has one building, one tree and one mountain.
