Plate
The plate is complete. It is circular in shape, with a plain rim. The rim is thick and sloping inwards, while its low wall is curved towards the bottom, which is deformed and domed in the center. On the reverse, the plate rests on a ring-shaped foot, the fulcrum of which is free of glaze. On the reverse, there is a permette segment in the form of a solid stem with a flat, unglazed head. There are defects in the glaze of the inner base. The decoration is hand-painted in blue on the front and reverse. The painted decoration is animal-like, in the Kraak style from China. The inner surface of the object is entirely decorated. There is a wide fillet near the edge. The rim and wall are decorated with compartments, divided into two alternating types. The larger compartments are trapezoidal in shape, with a simple net around the outer edge. Each houses a different wrapped object, similar to the emblems of the Eight Immortals, or a long-stemmed flower resembling a sunflower. Between these compartments are strips of the same length, but narrower than the compartments themselves. They are separated into two zones by double horizontal, painted arched lines: their central part is decorated with four full, superimposed pearls, while the upper and lower parts of the tabs are adorned with oblique, wavy lines. The central decoration is encircled by a double ring, containing two concentric octagons with concave sides. The space outside the octagons is painted blue and trimmed with alternating oblique dashes. The main decoration consists of a lake scene, featuring a winged insect seen in profile, resting on a stylized rock painted in blue, and surrounded by leafy, flowering plants. On the reverse, the plate is decorated with alternating geometric motifs: a ring and three vertical dashes.
