Plate
The plate is incomplete; broken, it has been repaired with glue and metal studs on the reverse, and areas have been filled with plaster. It is circular in shape with a plain rim. The marli is thin and slopes inwards, while its low wall curves towards the flat bottom. On the reverse, the plate rests on a flat base with a beveled rim; the decoration is painted blue on the inner base. It is of the antique scenic type. Surrounded by a double ring, it consists of two figures facing each other: a bearded man wearing a stem, standing and holding an object in his hand, and a draped woman seated on a rock, holding a pole. Behind the figures rises a high archway; they are bordered by a tree and hills loom in the background.
