Plate reproduction
The plate is complete. It is circular in shape, with an undulating rim. The rim is concave and slopes slightly inwards; the wall is low and curves towards the flat base. On the reverse, the plate rests on a flat base. There is an intaglio mark below the base: D.G.CARPENTIER 96; the decoration is molded and painted. The molded decoration is visible on the edge of the marli. It consists of a row of incisions of different lengths, slightly curved and perpendicular to the rim, between which small hollow oval beads are inserted in places, and covered with a broad line colored blue with cobalt oxide. The painted decoration has run off in places.
