Plate
The plate is complete. It is circular in shape with a wavy rim. It is solid. The rim is thick, rounded and pinched in places. The marli slopes inwards, curving towards the flat, footless base. On the reverse, the marli is inclined towards the bottom, circular and flat. There are three traces of pernette arranged in a triangle on the reverse of the marli. The body is brownish-red, well-fired; the entire surface is covered with a colorless, brown glaze. There are five missing glazes on the reverse side of the plate. The glaze is missing around the edge of the plate, on the inner rim and under the bottom. There are numerous wear marks on the inner base; the decoration is molded and made with iron oxide. The molded decoration is visible on the rim and marli. The rim, with its wavy outline, is domed and then decorated with a bulge between two small incised grooves. The marli is decorated with several rows of staggered vertical barley grains. The face of the plate is decorated with iron oxide runners.
