Dish

The dish is complete; there is some missing enamel around the rim and a crack has been repaired with an iron spike. The dish is rectangular in shape, with a plain rim. The center of the ends is concave, while the sides are convex; the long sides are straight. In cross-section, the rim is flared, the marli is inclined towards the bottom and slightly domed; the wall is high and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the dish rests on a rectangular foot, the base of which is unglazed; the bottom is recessed and flat. The body is beige in color and covered with a glossy white enamel. There are slight flaws in the enamel. There are linear marks and traces of wear on the inner base. The reverse of the dish features a pair of drilled holes, into which the ends of a rusty iron spike, made from a double rod, are inserted ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It features stylized embroidery with bunches of grapes. The molded decoration is visible on the rim, marli and wall. The rim is corrugated at the ends. The decoration on the marli appears as bulges perpendicular to the contour and aligned with the concave parts. The decoration is painted on both the marli and the wall. The marli is decorated with a fillet bordering three rows of acanthus leaves and scrolls similar to embroidery, repeated in alternation. Regularly spaced among these elements are triangular grape clusters with tendrils. Near the fillet, geometric shapes are filled with blue-painted dots.
