Dish
The dish is complete; there is some missing enamel on the rim and a break has been repaired with iron studs. The dish is rectangular-octagonal in shape, with a plain rim. In cross-section, the rim is bulging, the marli sloping towards the bottom; the wall is low and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the dish has a large, flat base; the wall and marli are on the same axis, and the rim is domed. The body is beige in color and covered with a glossy white glaze. There are slight flaws in the enamel, notably on the face. The support point and bottom of the dish show signs of wear. There are linear wear marks on the inner base, and numerous traces of wear. The reverse of the dish has nine pairs of drilled holes, into which are inserted the ends of as many rusty iron spikes, two of which are broken and missing; they are made of a double rod and held in place by a white paste ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It is geometric and floral. The molded decoration is visible on the contour, on the rim of the marli and on the marli. The contour is domed; the decoration on the rim appears as a row of domed bulges, like gadroons. The decoration on the rest of the marli is in the form of a groove aligned with the corners of the dish. The decoration is painted on both the marli and the background. The border is decorated with a band between a fillet and a braid. The fillet, close to the edge, borders a row of half-ovals in two alternately repeated formats; the larger format is decorated on the inside with a vertical line. The braid is adorned with a wavy line trimmed with two rows of staggered pearls. The background is decorated with a small leafy stem surmounted by a flower.
