Dish
The dish is complete; there is some missing enamel around the rim, particularly at the corners, and a chip on the rim, and a crack has been repaired with iron studs. The dish is oval in shape, with an undulating rim. In cross-section, the wing is inclined in line with the marli, but a slight protrusion separates them. The marli slopes towards the bottom, which is slightly domed on the face. The reverse of the dish is almost truncated cone-shaped, with a slightly concave wall and a slightly depressed center. The base of the dish is rounded. The body is pinkish-beige in color and covered with a bluish-white glaze; there are burrs near the rim on the reverse. Three traces of linear, triangular pernettes are visible under the marli. The base of the dish shows signs of wear. The inner base of the dish shows areas of amati enamel. The dish has a crack running from the edge to the center. It is surrounded by six pairs of circular holes drilled in the reverse of the dish. The dish has been repaired with six rusty iron spikes; made from a double iron rod, each spike is inserted into a pair of small holes and held in place by a hard white paste; the decoration is hand-painted in polychrome. The painted decoration was traced and painted in black underglaze, then in red, yellow and green overglaze. It features compartmentalized braid and a spray of flowers. The decoration is painted on the rim, on the marli and in the center of the background. The border is tripartite, with pearls, a band and a braid. The rim is decorated with a row of large truncated pearls painted green. They are highlighted by a black line and separated by red dashes. The band is painted blue. The braid is painted black. It is adorned with two alternately repeated motifs. One is a latticework pattern in red with green pearls. The other is a latticework pattern in red with off-center beads in green, imitating fish scales. These two motifs are separated by a half-flower made of red radiating lines, with a black and blue-painted core; it is set in two yellow-painted bands, while the sides are in reserve. The background is decorated with a spray of flowers. Two curved plant stems rise from a single trunk; traced in black, they are trimmed with leaves traced in the same way and painted green for some, green and yellow for others, and blue and yellow for another. These curved plant stems have three flowers. These flowers are drawn in black: one is painted faded blue, with yellow highlights and a red latticework core; one is adorned with red lines and a yellow-painted core; another is painted red. Red tendrils emerge from the whole.
