Dish

The dish is complete; some cracks have been repaired with metal studs. It is circular with a plain rim. On the front, the rim slopes slightly inwards, and the wall slopes towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, it rests on a thin annular foot, whose fulcrum is unglazed; the bottom is recessed and flat. The body is beige, and the object is covered with a bluish-white enamel. There are three traces of a pernette in a triangular pattern on the reverse. The enamel is shiny. The enamel around the rim has disappeared. There are five copper metal studs on the reverse, inserted in as many pairs of drilled holes. The decoration is hand-painted in cobalt blue underglaze. The decoration is hand-painted in cobalt blue underglaze. The decoration occupies the entire inner surface of the plate. It consists of a blue-painted background, decorated with various motifs in reserve. The main motif consists of six elongated hearts, housing two different alternating plant and floral designs. These hearts are linked, near the center, by two wide dashes. Between the hearts are six oval motifs in reserve, each adorned with the same trifoliate flower and leaf motif painted with a square-tipped brush. The center is adorned with a medallion made of a solid core surrounded by a ring, from which four ribbed leaves emerge, alternating with elongated tri-lobed motifs; all these elements are surmounted by two scrolls. On the reverse, the wall is adorned with two motifs repeated in alternation: a ring topped with a stroke and three vertical strokes in a row.
