Dish
The dish is complete; some cracks have been repaired with glue and some enamel is missing. The dish is circular with a wavy outline. In cross-section, the rim is bulging, the marli is sloping and concave; the wall is low and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the cross-section is truncated cone-shaped with a flat base; the base is rounded all around. Three traces of linear, triangular beads are visible under the marli. The inner glaze is bluish-white and cracked. The support point and base show traces of wear. The inner base shows signs of wear. The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue and black underglaze. The molded decoration can be seen on the rim, which is wavy; the marli is slightly convex where the contour is concave. The painted decoration is of the compartmented braid and floral basket type. The decoration is painted on the border and in the center of the background. The border is outlined in black. It is decorated with two alternating motifs. One is a latticework of broad blue lines. The other trellis is drawn in black and trimmed with blue-painted pearls. These two motifs are separated by a half-flower outlined in black and decorated with blue-painted radiating lines; it is set in two bands outlined in black and painted blue, while the sides are in reserve. The background features a flowering basket. The basket has a truncated cone shape on a flat swollen base and a flat swollen rim; it is outlined in black and divided into vertical sections; the rendering of the basket imitates rattan. From the top of the basket emerges a central poly-lobed flower flanked by leaves and leafy plant stems. All these elements are outlined in black and painted blue. Two tendrils hang from the sides of the basket. The basket rests on a flared base, decorated with sloping lines in black; this base is set on a blue-painted terrace. The numbers 1759 are painted in black on the terrace.
