Dish

The dish is complete. It is octagonal in shape with a plain rim. In cross-section, the dish has a narrow, flat wing with a rounded junction with the marli. The latter is inclined towards the center. The wall is curved and its lower part is curved towards the bottom, which is almost flat. On the outside, the wall is concave and extends from the rim to the bottom. The body is beige. The enamel is bluish-white, with a thick burr under the outer rim. The enamel on the inner base and bottom is stained with droplets of cobalt blue and dotted with small holes. The enamel around the rim of the dish is missing. Three traces of linear and triangular pernettes are visible under the marli. The dish has a star-shaped crack. The base support shows areas of amati enamel and wear marks ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue. It has been traced in blue and painted in dark blue underglaze. The molded decoration is perceptible on the rim of the wing: it consists of a row of small gadroons molded in relief. The painted decoration is geometric and vegetal. It is a lambrequin and flower pattern. The decoration is painted on the inside of the dish, i.e. on the wing, on the marli and on the base. The decoration on the wing and marli is tripartite, with two sections separated by a band. The decoration on the narrow wing consists of a row of broad strokes painted in blue. It rests on a thin blue fillet, separated by dashes painted in sequence. This row is separated from the mantling by a wide band painted dark blue. The mantling is drawn and painted in blue. The mantling is of two types, arranged alternately. One is stepped and has a half-oval top. Painted blue, it is adorned with mirrored motifs in reserve, consisting of two scrolls encircled by wing-shaped quarter flowers, which are adorned with radiating lines. The oval part is adorned with a half-flower in reserve, partially painted in faded blue. The other model is also tiered, but smaller in size; it is also decorated in reserve on a blue-painted background, with a three-lobed leaf trimmed with radiating lines. From the top emerge two curved scrolls trimmed with acanthus leaves. A four-leaf plant motif with pearl emerges from the center. The central motif, at the center of the dish, consists of a three-quarter view of a flower surrounded by leafy plant stems. The flower is painted faded blue, while the curved, leafy stems are painted blue.
