Dish
The dish is complete; some breaks have been repaired with wire. The dish is oval with a plain outline, except for the corrugated ends. In cross-section, the rim is bulging, the marli is sloping and concave; the wall is low and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the bottom is flat and the rim is rounded. Three traces of linear, triangular-shaped beads are visible under the flange. The inner glaze is bluish-white. The support point and base show traces of wear. The inner base shows linear marks. The dish has nine pairs of holes into which iron wires are inserted, the ends of which are twisted on the reverse. Only three of the wires have been preserved and are visible on the face of the dish ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. The molded decoration can be seen on the rim, which is wavy; the marli is slightly convex where the contour is concave. It is also visible on the rim: it consists of a row of slight swellings perpendicular to the rim. The painted decoration is of the floral basket type. The decoration is painted on the border and in the center of the background. The border is decorated with two different motifs: a wide band followed by a ribbon with a wavy line and staggered beads. The background features a flowering basket. The basket is truncated cone-shaped, with a flat swollen bottom and a flat swollen rim; it is divided into vertical sections and rendered in the style of rattan. A three-lobed leaf and leafy plant stems emerge from the top of the basket. Two tendrils hang from the sides of the basket. The basket rests on a blue-painted terrace.
