Dish

The dish is complete; some breaks have been repaired with glue. The dish is rectangular in shape, with a plain rim. The center of the ends is domed, while the sides are concave; the long sides are straight. In cross-section, the rim is bulging and the marli is almost flat; the wall is high and sloping towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the dish rests on a flat base. The body is beige in color and covered with a glossy white glaze. There are numerous flaws in the enamel, particularly on the face. The support point and bottom of the dish show traces of wear. The inner base of the dish shows small linear marks; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It features stylized embroidery with bunches of grapes. The molded decoration is visible on the rim, edge, marli and wall. The rim is corrugated at the corners. The rim is swollen, with a deep groove at its junction with the marli. The decoration on the marli is in the form of light grooves perpendicular to the contour and aligned with the points. The wall also features vertical grooves, aligned with the previous ones. The decoration is painted on both the marli and the background. The border is decorated with a double fillet bordering three rows of acanthus leaves and scrolls, similar to embroidery, repeated in alternation. Regularly spaced among these elements are truncated bunches of grapes with tendrils. Near the fillet, geometric shapes are filled with blue-painted dots. The background is decorated with a leafy stem supporting a flower, similar to a carnation.
