Historical context
Soapstone sculpture of an Inuk carrying an object touching the ground with his left hand. The elongated shape is imprecise, although it suggests a water bucket or a game bag. As for the qulittaq (parka) with its pointed hood, it is short and ends straight at the top of the thighs, giving the hunter greater freedom of movement.
