Historical context

Olive-green argillite sculpture of a fish attached to a walrus ivory rod above a flat rectangular base. The presence of a small, rayless adipose fin between the dorsal fin and the caudal peduncle suggests a salmonid, such as salmon, trout and/or Arctic char.
