Bowl

The container is complete. It is circular in shape. In cross-section, the wall is slightly flared towards the top, the rim is in line with it and the top is domed; the wall curves towards the bottom, which is flat. It rests on a ring-shaped foot, the base of which is unglazed. The body is pinkish-beige, well-fired; the entire surface is covered with a thick bluish-white glaze; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue and violet underglaze. Vegetal and floral motifs. The molded decoration is visible on the handles, which have been molded separately; their rim has a wavy contour, and their face is adorned with radiating ribs. The decoration is painted on the face of the handles, on the inner wall and base, as well as under the handles and on the outer wall; there is a painted mark under the base. The decoration on the inner wall is a broad blue braid bordered by a fillet, which is decorated with broad blue-painted curved lines. The decoration on the bottom is surrounded by a ring in blue; it consists of a terrace evoked by lines in blue and dots in violet. The main decoration is a leafy, flowering stem, outlined in violet and painted blue: it features a central flower, bordered on either side by leaves and flowers arranged in a mirror image. The decoration on the sides of the handles is composed of a broad fillet that follows the outline, and broad parallel lines running lengthwise in blue. The decoration under the handles is similar, with the exception of the wide fillet, which is absent. The decoration on the outer wall is a broad blue braid bordered by a fillet, and decorated with a row of blue-painted spirals. The blue-painted mark below the background is similar to a crossed-out Z in blue.
