Bowl

The container is complete; the rim and ring foot are missing, and some breaks have been repaired with metal studs. It is circular in shape. In cross-section, the wall is flared at the top, the rim is folded down and the rim is plain; the wall curves towards the bottom, which is flat. It rests on an annular foot, the base of which is unglazed; the foot is pierced by two aligned circular holes, the inside of which is covered with glaze, but one of which is broken and missing. The body is pinkish-beige, well-fired; the entire surface is covered with a thick bluish-white glaze. The reverse of the container features four pairs of drilled holes into which are inserted as many spikes made from a rusty iron rod; the decoration is hand-painted in blue underglaze. It is oriental and floral in style. The decoration is painted on the inner wall and base, as well as on the outer wall. The decoration on the inner wall is a wide blue braid bordered by a fillet, decorated with a wavy line featuring a group of three stylized leaves and three-lobed leaves on either side of the line. The background decoration is surrounded by a double ring; it consists of an oriental scene composed of an undulating terrace outlined in blue and painted in faded blue. It supports two aligned figures, seen in profile, seated on the terrace, dressed and coiffed in oriental style; their clothes are painted in dark blue and faded blue. They are bordered by stylized leafy and flowering plants, and above the figures there is a stylized advanced cliff lined with stylized leafy plants. The decoration on the outer wall consists of three groups of wide, parallel strokes of varying lengths, tapering towards the ends.
