Bowl

The bowl is complete; some breaks have been repaired with iron studs and glue. The bowl is circular in shape. In profile, it has a slightly flared wall topped by a straight rim. The lower part of the wall is curved towards the bottom, which is flat. The bowl rests on a solid ring foot, whose beveled base is free of glaze; the bottom is recessed and flat. There is a blue painted mark below the bottom in a double ring: this is the hollow rhombus. The inner base shows signs of wear. The outer surface features seven pairs of drilled holes, only one of which has retained its iron spike; the latter is rusty and held in place by a white paste ; The decoration is hand-painted in iron red underglaze, with gold highlights over glaze. The decoration is floral. It is visible on the inner and outer walls, and on the inner base. The decoration below the inner rim is a double fillet bordering four groups of leafy, flowering stems; the flowers are partially painted in red and gold. The decoration on the inner base is encircled by a ring. It features a small herbaceous terrace supporting three different long leafy stems; some of the flowers have retained traces of gilding. The decoration below the outer rim is a fillet. The wall is decorated with two pairs of groups of leafy, flowering stems, placed alternately; one pair has two central flowers, including an aster, while the other has only one central flower; several flowers are partially painted red and gold, while some leaves are painted red or have red veins. There are traces of gilding on the top of the bowl.
