Bowl
The bowl is complete; a break has been repaired with glue. The bowl is circular in shape. In profile, the wall is slightly flared at the top, with a straight rim. The lower part of the wall is curved towards the bottom, which is flat. The bowl rests on a solid ring-shaped foot, whose beveled base is free of glaze ; The decoration covers the outside of the bowl, as well as the inside rim, wall and bottom. The decoration is of the floral type, with an external brown coating known as Batavia. It is hand-painted in blue underglaze. The ribbon under the inner rim is outlined with a fillet and decorated with a double latticework with spiked lozenges. The decoration on the wall features three identical elements arranged in a triangle: long leafy stems topped with a similar flower – probably a peony. The decoration on the bottom is surrounded by a ring and consists of a flowering plant similar to those on the wall. The entire outer surface is covered with a shiny brown, iron-based coating, which also covers the top of the rim.
