Bowl

The bowl is complete; some breaks have been repaired with glue. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly flared towards the wing; domed and narrow, it is folded back towards the sock and has an evenly contoured rim. The wall curves towards the bottom, which is flat. It rests on a solid ring-shaped foot, whose beveled base is free of glaze; the bottom is recessed and flat; the decoration is hand-painted in polychrome enamels in pink, blue, green, orange, black, white and black on glaze, in the Famille rose style. It is floral in style. It is visible on the top and rim of the wing, on the inner wall and base, and on the outer wall. The decoration on the wing is a braid traced in red and adorned with a double latticework with a four-pointed star. The decoration on the inner background extends beyond the wall. It consists of a pale green terrace with black grasslands on a green background. It supports two large rocks with holes, symbols of the Chinese philosophy of Taoism, traced in black and painted blue, one of which is at the top of a straight stem; they are bordered by two flowers traced and painted orange, with leafy stems traced in black and painted green and pale green. From these rocks emerge leaves traced and painted orange, and long leafy stems traced black and painted green, and a large peony painted pink and white. Another stem is painted pink and trimmed with flowers painted pink and orange and blue, and small leaves traced in black and painted green. The perimeter of the wing is covered with a brown iron-based plaster. The outer wall is adorned with two groups of long, leafy, flowering stems, outlined and painted in orange-red.
