Bowl
The bowl is complete; some breaks have been repaired with spikes and wire, and the suspension holes in the foot have been repaired with plaster. The bowl is circular in shape, with a flared rim and a wall that slopes and curves towards the flat bottom. On the reverse side, it rests on a solid ring-shaped foot, whose fulcrum is unglazed. The foot is pierced by two broken suspension holes, the inside walls of which are covered with enamel. The body is beige in color and covered with shiny white enamel. There are traces of wear on the inner base, as well as linear marks. The reverse features 24 pairs of holes, into which are inserted the ends of 23 rusty iron studs. The spikes are of two types: all but one are made of a double rod held in place by a white paste, the exception being a wire that crosses the bowl and whose ends are twisted on the reverse ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in polychrome of blue underglaze, and black, red and yellow ochre. It is of the compartmented braid and bird type. The molded decoration is visible around the rim and on the outer wall. The wall is decorated with slightly twisted vertical flutes, while the rim is corrugated. The decoration is painted on the top of the inner wall, under the rim, and in the center of the base. The wall is decorated with an annular braid. It is outlined in black and painted in blue and red. The braid is decorated with two repeated motifs. The main motif, in reserve and mirrored, consists of two scrolls set between two wing-shaped quarter-flowers. These flowers are adorned with red radiating lines. The other motif is a latticework drawn in red and decorated with blue-painted pearls. These two motifs are separated by red radiating lines with a blue-painted core, which is set in two blue-painted vertical bands, while the sides are in reserve. The background features a complex ring with a bird in the center. The ring is made up of three repeated elements: a double ring, drawn in black, with a blue core and red lines, surrounded by four blue-painted pearls. This ring is bordered by two long, mirrored acanthus leaves; drawn in black, they are painted in ochre and blue. The other motif, bordered by identical long leaves, is a half-flower drawn in black and decorated with radiating lines drawn in red. The central bird, which could be a phoenix, is seen from the front, wings spread; drawn in black, it is painted in blue and ochre. It is surrounded by leafy, flowering stems, outlined in black and red, and painted in blue, red and ochre.
