Bowl
The bowl is complete; a break has been repaired with glue. It is circular in shape. In cross-section, it has a very narrow, slightly inward-sloping wing, and a high, sloping wall that curves towards the flat bottom. It rests on a small annulus, the base of which is unglazed. The body is beige in color and covered with a shiny white glaze. Three traces of linear, triangular pernettes are visible under the wall. Two small, aligned suspension holes have been drilled in the foot, but are blocked by the enamel. There are slight flaws in the enamel. The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It is embroidered and floral. The molded decoration is visible on the rim, wing and wall. The rim is finely undulated. The wing is decorated with a row of oval swellings on the front and concave swellings on the reverse, while the wall is decorated with curved vertical grooves on the front and hollow grooves on the reverse, which are offset from the swellings on the wing. The decoration is painted on both the marli and the back. The border is decorated with two fillets bordering two alternately repeated embroidery elements. Each is composed of repeated mirror-like elements, starting from a central element. A fan-shaped plant motif with pearl hangs regularly from the embroidery; one of these motifs has been painted in the wrong place and breaks the regularity. The background decoration is floral. It consists of leafy stems topped with a variety of flowers.
