Black and white photograph. View of the Wabasso textile factory at dusk. The Wabasso Cotton Company Limited, run by Charles Ross Whitehead (1868-1954), was established in 1907 on rue Saint-Maurice (now boulevard Saint-Maurice) in Trois-Rivières. When it closed in May 1985, 1,665 workers lost their jobs. The plant, owned by Dominion Textiles at the time, was demolished in 1986.
