Vicki Lane est une artiste de drag queen. Née à Chicago en Illinois, elle a fait carrière sur la côte Est états-uniennes avant de s’établir à Montréal en 1972. Durant les soulèvements de Stonewall à New York à l’été 1969, Vicki Lane travaillait à l’hôtel St. George, un lieu populaire chez les hommes gay de Brooklyn.
