Historical context
The Montreal World’s Fair (Expo 67) was the most important event in Canada’s centennial celebrations in 1967. Under the humanist theme of “Man and His World”, inspired by one of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s works, the Expo welcomed over 50 million visitors, and 120 governments were represented in several thematic pavilions.
