Fondé en 1979 par l’architecte Phyllis Lambert, le Centre canadien d’architecture (CCA) de Montréal est l’une des institutions phares dans le monde pour sa recherche en histoire de l’architecture. Le centre est né de la conviction de sa fondatrice que l’architecture est une discipline d’intérêt public et par sa volonté de la rendre accessible à tous à travers une institution muséale et de recherche d’envergure.
