Pierre Elliott Trudeau et Serge Losique - Festival du film de Montréal
Black and white photograph taken at the Montreal Film Festival, when the Right Honourable Pierre Elliott Trudeau left politics. As a symbol of his new-found freedom, he had grown a beard, which he soon had to shed when he was asked to stand again, Prime Minister Joe Clark having lost a vote of confidence in the House of Commons. From left to right, Mr. Richard G. Gervais, then Director of Public Affairs at Esso, and Mr. Trudeau’s host; Mr. Alain Teitelbaum, a Parisian guest of Mr. Gervais; Mr. Serge Losique, founder of the Montreal Film Festival; and Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
