Historical context
One of the major attractions of the 1967 World’s Fair in Montreal was undoubtedly Habitat 67, built on the tip of Cité du Havre, a jetty in the St. Lawrence River. Architect Moshe Safdie is the man behind the Brutalist-style building. He worked alongside engineer August Komendant.
