The floor is covered with checkerboard tiles. Above the bar, trophies and a trombinoscope framed by a field hockey team can be seen. On the back, a manustrite inscription in pencil identifies behind the counter Cardin, Lucien Plouffe and Dollard Larochelle. The photographer’s stamp is on the back, lower right, in black ink.

Historical context
The trombinoscope shown in this photograph appears to be an illustration of the members of the Montreal Canadiens team during the 1929-1930 season. The illustration was published at a time when the Canadiens team was winning the Stanley Cup. We can therefore assume that this is a bar where Canadiens fans gather during the team’s various games.
