Black and white photograph. Former Laval-des-Rapides school in 1928. This school, known as “École du Bord-de-l’eau”, was the first elementary school in the area. Located not far from the old Canadian Pacific rail line, the school disappeared when the Rivière des Prairies hydroelectric dam was built. Today, the area boasts a park owned by the municipality of Laval: Parc Gagné.
