Historical context
Founded in 1979 by architect Phyllis Lambert, the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in Montréal is one of the world’s leading institutions for research into the history of architecture. The center was born of its founder’s conviction that architecture is a discipline of public interest, and of her desire to make it accessible to all through a major research and museum institution.
