Jug
The jug is complete, except for a small chip on the spout. It is circular in shape. In cross-section, the neck is straight, with a slightly domed top, and a long, oval pouring spout occupying the full height of the neck. The shoulder is rounded, the wall tapered towards the sock, and the base slightly tapered towards the foot, which is in line with it and free of glaze. The bottom is recessed and flat, and partially free of glaze. There is a long crack on the lower portion of the wall ; The decoration is molded and coated. Coated decoration is visible on the neck and top of the handle. Moulded decoration is visible on the neck, spout and outer wall, as well as on the handle. The coated decoration is a dark brown slip applied to the neck and a portion of the shoulder, as well as to the top of the handle and a portion of its vertical branch. The molded decoration on the neck takes the form of groups of small horizontal swellings separated by more massive swellings. The outside of the spout is decorated with vertical flutes resting on a horizontal bulge. The molded decoration on the wall is distributed over three zones: the shoulder, the wall and the base. The shoulder is adorned with a garland of vine leaves, ferrules and bunches of grapes. The wall is adorned with a hunting scene (The Kill CONDITION) sitting on a wide, undulating terrace, reading from right to left. Bounded at each end by a leafy tree, it features two horses with saddles in profile to the left; they are stopped by a wooden fence that two riders and dogs are trying to climb. To the left, they want to join a pack of dogs attacking a fox lying in submission. The base of the wall is adorned with vertical ribs closed at the top by a horizontal bulge and decorated, in their upper third, with two small superimposed horizontal bulges. The handle is vertical, with a flat segment and a vertical branch inclined towards the wall; it has a vertical bulge in the center of its face. The inner face of the shackle features an elongated, concave tenon at mid-height of its vertical branch, connecting it to the wall. The upper end of the handle is turned downwards; it is oval and rests on the neck, decorated with a horizontal band that appears to be riveted to the neck. The lower end is palmette-shaped and rests on the wall.
