Jug
The jug is complete. It is circular and massive; seen from above, the neck is more oval than circular. The shoulder falls away, the neck is slightly constricted, the rim has a high, slightly flared lip, and the top is flat and wide. The wall is swollen and tapered towards the base, which is high and straight. It rests on a flat, glaze-free base. The handle is vertical. Oval in shape and cross-section, its upper end rests on the neck, while the other is folded down and rests on the wall; this end is oval and flattened. The number 2 is embossed near the handle. The outer surface is blue, while the inner surface and underside of the base are gray; the decoration is incised and painted in cobalt blue on the outer surface. The incised decoration consists of two blocks of grooves, on the neck and on the lower part of the wall. On the neck, some of the grooves are painted blue. On the lower part of the wall, the only groove is painted cobalt blue. The wall below the spout features a large plant motif painted blue. There are also two blue-painted plant motifs on the underside of the handle. The outer surface and the handle are covered with a cloud of cobalt.
