Soup plate
The plate is complete. It is circular in shape with a plain rim. On the front, the rim is narrow and flat, and the high wall slopes towards the flat bottom. On the reverse, the plate rests on a ring-shaped foot, the base of which is unglazed; the bottom is recessed and flat. The body is beige, and the object is covered with a bluish-white enamel. There are three traces of a pernette in a triangular pattern on the reverse. The enamel is shiny. There are defects on the inner base. There are wear marks on the inner base. The enamel around the rim has partially disappeared ; The decoration is hand-painted in cobalt blue, underglaze. It is of the Chinese lake scene type. The decoration is found on both the rim and the base. The marli is decorated with a narrow braid trimmed with a spiked double lattice. The background features a lake scene with two islands separated by a body of water. The island in the foreground features two buildings, a stylized rock, a tree and mountains, while the island in the background has just one building and a mountain.
