Soup plate
The plate is complete; it is missing around the rim and has been repaired with metal studs. The plate is circular with a plain rim. The rim slopes slightly inwards, the wall is low and the bottom is flat and recessed. The plate rests on a small ring-shaped foot, which is free of glaze. The plate is broken and has been repaired with metal spikes. The reverse of the plate features three pairs of drilled holes, which hold two copper metal spikes ; The decoration is hand-painted on the glaze in polychrome pink, blue, green, turquoise, yellow, white and black, in the Famille rose style. It is plant and fruit-based. The painted decoration is visible on the marli, on the wall and on the inner background. The decoration on the marli is encircled by a fillet traced in black and consists of two groups of similar floral elements resting on the fillet. They are made up of stems and leaves traced in black, leaves painted in green, blue and turquoise, and flowers traced in pink and painted in pink and yellow. One of the groups has a main flower that appears to be a peony, while the fruits appear to be pomegranates of various shapes. The decoration on the wall is a braid traced in black and adorned with a plant frieze composed of mirrored elements; it consists of a background of beads traced in brownish red, among which are painted leaves in green, blue and turquoise, as well as half-flowers traced in succession and painted in pink, white and yellow. The central decoration features a bamboo plant and leafy, flowering plants, outlined in black and painted green, trimmed with leaves outlined in black and painted green and turquoise, and flowers painted white, yellow, blue and pink, one of which is large. The rim of the plate is covered with an iron-brown coating.
