Tea bowl

The tea bowl is complete. It is circular in shape. In profile, the bowl has an upwardly flaring wall topped by a straight rim. The lower part of the wall is curved towards the bottom, which is flat. The bowl rests on a small annular foot. The outer rim of the foot is beveled and free of glaze. The bottom is flat and recessed. There is a painted mark below the bottom, within a double ring: it is a square surrounding two symbols similar to a double trident. The inner wall is lightly stained in places; decoration is found on the inner rim and bottom, as well as on the outer wall. The decoration is scenic and floral. It is hand-painted in underglaze blue. The ribbon under the inner rim is decorated with groups of concentric, intersecting curved lines. This motif is interrupted by four cross-shaped areas featuring a half-flower bordered by scrolls, all between two curved lines. This ribbon borders a row of half-ovals. The decoration on the inner base consists of a small leafy stem in bloom. The decoration on the outer wall is a blue-painted terrace. It supports a large blue-painted flower vase in the shape of an inverted baluster with a high, flared neck. Emerging from it are leafy stems, a flower, a leaf terminating in an acorn and a scroll with acorn. At its feet is a basket seemingly filled with fruit. A leafy, flowering stem grows to his left, while to his right, there’s a male figure standing, wearing a headdress and carrying a bundle over his shoulder. Beside him grows a plant with long leaves. In the background is a fence with a vertical post, the panels of which are adorned with swastikas. The opposite wall is adorned with a small leafy, flowering stem. A shiny brown iron-based plaster covers the top edge.
