Tea bowl

The tea bowl is complete. It is circular in shape. In profile, the bowl has a wall that flares slightly at the top, topped by a straight rim. The lower part of the wall is curved towards the bottom, which is flat. The bowl rests on a ring-shaped foot, the base of which is free of glaze. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome over glaze; it is of a floral type. The polychrome decoration is painted in pink, green, orange and black. It covers the inner rim and base, as well as the outer rim. The decoration below the inner rim consists of a wide ribbon in red. The ribbon has two alternately repeated elements. One element is a beaded latticework traced in red and painted pink; it is encircled by a double line painted red, and below the ribbon is a green-painted band adorned with a row of black-painted zig-zag lines. The braid is interrupted by a half-flower painted pink under the edge and highlighted by a green leaf, from which emerge two garlands made of red dots that cross to join the ends of the ribbon; this junction is adorned with pink-painted leaves. The background decoration consists of a horn, the upper part of which has a wavy outline, traced and painted orange; an untied ribbon painted blue surrounds its lower portion. From its top emerge leafy stems, outlined in black and painted green, as well as flowers outlined and painted pink. The outer wall is decorated with a wavy net of dots painted red. Beneath this, the wall is decorated with six different leafy stems outlined in black and painted green, each topped with different flowers painted pink or red.
