Tea bowl
The tea bowl is complete. It is circular in shape. In profile, the bowl has a wall that flares slightly at the top, topped by a flared rim with a slightly undulating top. The lower part of the wall curves towards the flat bottom. The bowl rests on a ring-shaped foot. The outer rim of the foot is beveled and free of glaze; the decoration is hand-painted in black underglaze, with gold highlights, in the so-called Grisaille style. It is floral in style. The decoration is visible under the inner rim and on the outer wall. The decoration under the rim is a fillet bordering a row of arched lines supporting a row of alternating spearheads and double-headed motifs with pearls. The main decoration on the outer wall consists of a large central flower bordered by small flowers and leafy stems; some leaves and flowers are decorated with fine lines, and others feature gilding highlights. The remaining part of the wall is occupied by three small leafy stems with flowers. The foot is stained with drops of gilding, and the underside of the background is stained with gilding.
