Tea bowl
The tea bowl is complete. It is circular in shape. In profile, the bowl has a wall that flares slightly at the top, topped by a straight rim. The lower part of the wall curves towards the flat bottom. The bowl rests on a small annular foot. The outer rim of the foot is beveled and free of glaze. The decoration covers the outside of the bowl, as well as the inside rim and bottom. The decoration is floral, treated in pseudo Imari. It is hand-painted in two-tone blue underglaze, then traced and painted in iron red overglaze. A fillet is traced under the inner rim in blue. It borders a row of beaded ovals, traced in blue, which is interrupted by two stylized scrolls arranged in mirror image, on four cross-shaped areas; the whole features red-painted highlights. The decoration on the inner base consists of a small symbol, similar to 36, with red-painted pearls. The main decoration on the outer wall consists of a leafy stem, traced and painted in blue, beneath a large flower with veins traced in blue. The remaining portion of the wall is decorated with four small leafy stems, traced and painted in blue. The remaining surface is covered with red-painted leaves.
