Tea bowl
The tea bowl is complete; there is a small chip on the rim followed by a crack. It is circular in shape. In profile, the bowl has a slightly flared wall topped by a tapered rim. The lower part of the wall curves towards the flat bottom. The bowl rests on a solid ring-shaped foot. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome enamels in pink, orange, green, violet and black, with overglaze gilding. It is floral in the Famille rose style. The decoration is painted on the inner rim and base, and on the outer wall. Under the inner rim, it consists of a double orange fillet bordering a row of spearheads, traced in red; the whole is enhanced with gilding. The background is decorated with a group of flowers painted pink and violet, among leaves painted green with black highlights. The decoration on the wall consists of two repeated motifs. Below the rim is a medallion outlined in black and painted orange with gold highlights, and bordered by two leaves outlined in violet. The other motif is a group of flowers painted pink and violet, among leaves painted green with black highlights. The lower part of the wall features four groups of flowers painted pink and violet, among leaves painted green with black highlights.
