Tea bowl
The bowl is complete; there is a crack on the wall and small chips on the rim. It is circular in shape. The wall is flared at the top, the rim is straight and the top is plain and domed. The wall curves at the base towards the sock, which is flat. The bowl rests on a ring-shaped foot with a beveled inner surface. The bottom is recessed and slightly conical; there is an incised ring near the foot. The inner base features a number of linear markings; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in cobalt blue, underglaze. It is geometric. The molded decoration is visible on the outer wall, with the exception of a band under the rim; it consists of small vertical flutes. The painted decoration under the inner and outer rims is identical: it consists of a ribbon lined with alternating sections of latticework, single and double with internal dashes. The sections are interrupted by four oval areas in reserve, adorned with a trifoliate stem. The two ribbons are underlined by a fillet. The background is decorated with a leafy branch.
