The stein is complete, with the exception of a small missing foot. It is cylindrical in shape, with a straight wall and a straight rim with a thinned top. The base of the wall has a wide horizontal groove. It rests on a wide, flat, ring-shaped foot, free of glaze. The underside of the base is recessed and flat. It is fitted with a vertical handle of oval cross-section, which is slightly curved in its lower portion ; The decoration is hand-painted in blue underglaze. The decoration is floral. The painted decoration is visible under the rim and on the outer wall, as well as on the handle. The decoration under the rim is a braid underlined by a fillet; it is trimmed with a double latticework with spikes. The wall opposite the handle is decorated with three vertical rocks, traced and painted in blue, behind which rise leafy branches adorned with large, ribbed flowers, probably peonies. The wall on either side of the cove is decorated with ribbed leaves. The outside of the handle is decorated with small scrolls, traced and painted. An iron-brown coating has been painted on the top of the stein.
