The stein is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly tapered towards the rim, which is straight, and the top is domed. The base is slightly rounded and rests on a flat base; the bottom is recessed and flat. The handle is vertical. Oval in shape and cross-section, its ends are turned down and rest on the wall. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome of blue, yellow, orange, green and brown. It is animal-like. It covers the outer surface. The top of the rim and the handle are adorned with broad, solid lines in pale blue. The wall features a scene framed by horizontal brown fillets and a dark blue band; it consists of an undulating terrace supporting a stylized animal – a fox? – seen in profile, surrounded by leafy stems and flowers, and surmounted by a fence. The base is decorated with a row of broad blue-painted lines and alternating sloping brown-painted dashes, covered by a broad orange line.
