Teacup

The cup is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly flared at the top, and the rim is plain. The lower third of the wall is tapered towards the bottom. It rests on a foot in line with the wall. The bottom is recessed and flat. The handle is vertical and ear-shaped, with two small rounded steps on its lower portion. At its junction with the wall, the handle is folded downwards; its upper end is oval, while the other is pointed. There are small linear markings on the inner base ; The decoration is painted on the glaze; it is pink lustre and non-lustre, with a motif close to the English rural. The decoration is visible on the rim, inner and outer walls and handle. A fillet covers the top of the rim and extends in a wide band over the inner and outer edges. The decoration on the outer wall features a rural scene. It features two high terraces in lustrous pink, separated by a river in reserve. They rest on a fillet painted on the lower part of the wall. The top of the terraces is almost flat, supporting a large manor house on the right and a shrubbery on the left, both drawn without care; the manor house is rectangular in shape, with a flat roof featuring two chimneys, and is flanked by trees. A domed bridge spans the river. There are clouds painted in unglossy pink in the sky above. The top and base of the cove are adorned with a painted oval, while its vertical portion is adorned with a fillet. A horizontal fillet is painted on the inner wall.
