Teacup

The cup is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly flared at the top, and the rim is plain. The lower third of the wall is tapered towards the flat bottom. It rests on a pedestal; the junction of the foot and the wall features an incised ring. The underside of the base is recessed and flat. There are small marks on the inner bottom. There are flaws in the glaze under the base; the decoration is painted on the glaze; it is pink lustre and polychrome, in red, green and blue; it has a floral and vegetal motif. The decoration is visible both inside and out, on the rim, inner base and outer wall. A leafy stem is painted in lustrous pink on the inner base. The decoration on the outer wall is an alternately repeated motif, consisting of a flower painted orange-red with a green heart, flanked by a leaf, one half of which is painted blue and the other pale green along its length; small leafy stems, painted in lustrous pink, emerge from the flower. A net is painted in lustrous pink under the outer wall. The top of the rim is covered in lustrous pink, which extends in a wide band along the inner and outer edges. There are patches of lustrous pink on the outer base.
